Pair of Bold and playful "First Chair" design by Michele de Lucchi (Italian, born 1951) for Memphis Milano Collection. Memphis played an important role in both broadening perspectives on modern design encouraging experimentation with color, form, and materials. The structure is in metal, with seat backrest and armrests in lacquered wood. They were manufactured in different colors. Incorporating line, plane, and sphere, De Lucchi created a chair that combines post-modern sculpture and furniture. This pair will be a superb addition to any contemporary decor. Lucchi 1983 Made in Italy sticker on bottom.
